- For homes with a fireplace, keep firewood at least 20 feet away from your home. If the piles are close, mice and ants will make their nests here and can easily make their way into your home.
- Keep all storage areas organized and clutter free to prevent hiding spots for rodents.
- Repair or replace any leaking pipes or clogged drains. Areas with an increase in moisture are vulnerable to cockroach infestations.
- Be sure to keep your crawl space, basement and attic well ventilated and dry.
